Breaking or chipping a tooth after an accident or injury can be a traumatic experience. It is important to visit a dentist as soon as you can, even when the tooth is only slightly chipped. If your tooth has been knocked, based on the severity of your injury, it may be able to be re-implanted.
If a tooth is knocked out, clean the tooth with water without touching the root. Next, try to place the tooth back into the socket, and bite on a clean towel for 15 to 20 minutes.
Emergency Dental Care is necessary upon chipping, breaking, or avulsing a tooth. Your dentist can smooth uneven edges and replace missing parts with tooth-coloured fillings. If you break a molar, this may need to be replaced with a crown.
Upon needing emergency dental treatment, our clinic provides same day service for all your dental emergencies; such as toothaches, broken or lost crowns, dental trauma, abscesses, chipped teeth, avulsed teeth and swollen faces. We will look after your oral problems so that they can heal quickly and further dental problems are prevented.
We offer urgent appointments in Chislehurst, sometimes even on Saturdays. Please call reception on 020 8467 6755 to find out how quickly we can see you.
